To the Families of War Heroes and Every Loved One Now in Heaven

This Memorial Day, we pause not only to remember the brave souls who gave their lives in service to our nation, but also to extend our hearts to all families who have lost someone they love—whether in uniform or in daily life.

At the Christian House Church Mission, we believe that every life matters deeply in the eyes of God. Whether they were honored in public ceremonies or quietly remembered in family circles, each soul is precious. The mother who raised her children in faith, the grandfather who loved without condition, the friend who walked beside us—each has left a lasting imprint that heaven itself remembers.

To the families of war heroes:

Your loved ones served with courage. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free. We honor their devotion not only with flags and flowers, but with prayers of eternal thanks. May you find peace in knowing that their service was never forgotten in the Kingdom of God.

To every grieving family:

You may feel your loss has gone unnoticed by the world, but we assure you—God sees, God remembers, and God holds your tears. Scripture promises us that “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18) and that “He will wipe every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 21:4).

Your loved ones are not gone—they are alive in the presence of the Lord, where joy knows no end and love never fades. And from that heavenly place, they are surely praying for you with peace and affection.

Let us take this day to remember them all. To speak their names. To hold their pictures. To thank God not only for their lives, but for the hope of reunion.

May the God of all comfort surround you today with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

In His eternal love, Christian House Church Mission of Washington
