The Worth of a Home Church

Many home-church believers are asked, “Whose permission do you have?” or “Which organization authorized your fellowship?”

Yet in the New Testament, Jesus never required institutional approval.

He taught that greatness in His kingdom is found in humble service, not in hierarchy (Mark 10 : 42-45; Matthew 23 : 8-12).

The first disciples met simply—in homes, sharing meals, prayer, and the Word (Acts 2 : 42-47).

Therefore, even without a grand building or denominational title, a gathering that shares Christ’s peace and love is a true church in God’s eyes. When Jesus is present among His people, even a single household becomes a sanctuary, and even a solitary believer who lives in His love becomes part of His living body—the Church.
