A Note About “Sabbath at Home: Weekly Guide
As we often share on our website, when promoting the House Church model, we are guided by three foundational principles:
1. Continuing Worship in Familiar Ways
We encourage individuals and families to honor the worship rhythms they already know and love—especially if they come from a particular tradition that has shaped their faith.
2. Finding a Church Tradition That Resonates Personally
Some believers feel closest to God through specific prayers, music, or liturgies. We honor that. Your spiritual heritage matters, and we invite you to carry it into your house church worship.
3. Embracing the Wider Body of Christ Without Denominational Barriers
If you find yourself without a church home—or unable to connect with a specific denomination—we welcome, you into the worship practices of the Christian House Church Mission of Washington (CHCMW). We provide a biblical and Spirit-led worship guide each week, rooted in our CHCMW principles but open to your own context and expression.
About “Sabbath at Home: Weekly Guide”
Each week’s guide reflects CHCMW’s non-denominational worship format—but you are free to:
Follow it as-is
Adapt it to suit your family's tradition
Create something entirely new, as the Holy Spirit leads you
The goal is not to control your worship—but to support it. Whether you follow our outline closely or use it as a gentle starting point, we pray that every home becomes a sanctuary of peace, joy, and God’s living Word.
